7 reasons university clubs and societies choose One Ticket
- Member and general prices. Sell a members’ ticket as a secret ticket type that only your access code unlocks, beside the general price.
- Early-bird tiers that switch themselves. Set a price to rise on a date, a number of days before, or once so many tickets have sold.
- A cap per buyer. Stop one person buying a block of tickets with a cap per buyer on any ticket type, and a cap per order.
- The committee on the door. Share the event’s door link with whoever is on check-in tonight. They scan from their own phone, and you replace the link when the night is over.
- Free socials cost nothing. Welcome nights and free socials carry no fee for anyone, and the Free plan has no monthly cost.
- Paid into the club’s account. Connect the club’s own Stripe account and ticket money goes straight to it, the whole ticket price.
- A refund policy students can see. Pick the policy that suits the event and students see it before they pay. If you move the date, time or place, everyone booked can refund in full.
How it works for university clubs and societies
- Create the event with a general ticket and a secret members’ ticket.
- Add an early-bird price change and a cap per buyer.
- Connect the club’s Stripe account and share the link in your group chats.
- On the night, the committee checks people in with the door link.
What a ticket costs, worked through
| Ticket | Price | Booking fee | Buyer pays | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Members | $15 | $1.28 | $16.28 | $15 |
| General | $20 | $1.37 | $21.37 | $20 |
Sell 80 tickets at $15 and you receive $1,200. The booking fee is the buyer’s, added on top of your price at checkout, and it’s the same on every plan.
Example prices: set your own. Fees are checkout’s own, on a one-ticket order (One Ticket pricing). Free tickets carry no fee.

Common questions
- How do we give members a cheaper price?
- Add a members’ ticket type and make it secret, with an access code you share with members. Capitals and spaces in the code don’t matter.
- Can the price go up after the early bird?
- Yes. Add a price change to the ticket type: on a date, a number of days before the event, or once so many have sold.
- Can several committee members manage events?
- The Team plan allows up to 10 people on the organiser, with roles. Pro and Team are open now: upgrade any time in Settings › Plan. Limited-time offer: A$1 for your first year (first 100 organisers), then A$29/month for Pro or A$79/month for Team. Cancel anytime. On any plan, anyone with the event’s door link can run check-in.
- What does a buyer pay on a $15 ticket?
- $16.28: the $15 ticket price and a $1.28 booking fee. You receive the whole $15, and the fee is the same on every plan.
