Delete or close an organiser
Delete an organiser that never sold, or ask us to close one with sales and keep its records.
An organiser that has never sold anything can be deleted in Settings. One with sales or billing on record can't: we close it for you and keep its records.
Delete an organiser with no sales
Only the organiser's owner can do this.
- Go to Settings, then Organization. Delete Organization is at the foot.
- Check Deleted with it: every event of the organiser, drafts and published ones, with its status. They're deleted too. Members lose access, but keep their own accounts.
- Choose Delete Organization and type the organiser's name to confirm.
- Choose Send Verification Code, then type the 6-digit code from the email.
- Choose Delete Organization. It can't be undone.
An organiser with sales or billing
If the organiser has ticket orders, series subscriptions, a paid plan or payouts, the Delete Organization section says "This organiser can't be deleted here" and lists which. These are kept for refunds, disputes and tax.
Choose Contact support and tell us which organiser to close. Before we can close it:
- Refund or cancel any event still to come that people hold tickets for. See Refund an order.
- Cancel series subscriptions still billing buyers. See Subscribers.
What closing does
- Events that never sold are deleted. Events with sales are taken off sale and archived; their orders stay.
- A paid plan stops renewing and ends with its billing period.
- Every member is taken off the organiser. Their own accounts stay.
- Its public page comes down.
- Orders and payouts are kept for the records.
Once it's closed, you can delete your account if you want to.
Still stuck? Contact support and a person will get back to you.
